Free Murat & Michelle Mini-LessonWe will not be having our usual Monday night milonga on May 5th so why not head to lincoln for a free mini lesson with Murat and Michelle followed by a milonga under the stars. Check out the calendar for all the details.June CalendarThe June calendar is now posted on the website. It looks a little sparse right now, but do not fear - the tango is strong in Omaha. We will most likely have another visiting instructor in June (we're still working out the details) and the newest tanguero is on the way, so we need to start taking it easy for awhile to prepare for him or her. If you are interested in hosting a tango event during this slow period or have ideas on some tango stuff we can do in June just send Katy and email (katy@omahatango.com). We were also thinking of a tango movie night one of these days so keep your eye out for that to happen possibly in June.Event ChangesSome of our events (such as the UNMC lessons and tango with the Nebraska Commission for the Blind) have had to change dates and times (sorry for the confusion). Please check the calendar for all the events that you want to attend to make sure the time or date hasn't changed. The workshop is $20 per person ($21 if you pay using a credit card) and you can register by clicking here. You must register by April 30th to attend the workshop. If you plan on attending only the milonga that follows, the cost will be $5 per person and no registration is required. Murat and Michelle Erdemsel are among the most talented and sought after teachers, dancers, and performers of Argentine Tango in North America. They have taught in most of the major tango events in North America and have influenced large numbers of dancers with their unique perspective of dance and instruction. It is a rare opportunity and privilege to host them in our growing tango communities in Lincoln and Omaha, NE.
